Yancy Violi aka “Bao”

Hey all! I’m Yancy Augustine Violi, originally from Boca Raton, Florida. For the last decade, I took to New York City and Portland, Oregon to build my career as a hospitality consultant and celebrity bartender, among other skills. Along the way I’ve met amazing people and learned so much. Best of all however, I met a wonderful woman I have the pleasure of calling my wife! Now that I’m back in Florida after 10 years, I’m blessed to have the opportunity to work with Erica on my family’s business as well as one of our own.

Erica Violi aka “Bae”

Hello everyone! I’m Erica Chu Violi, originally from Keelung, Taiwan. I crossed oceans to pursue my education in the United States, and unexpectedly, this land became my home. My journey has been a wild ride—filled with sleepless nights and uphill battles. But life has a way of surprising us: just when I hit rock bottom, I met my incredible husband, Yancy Violi. His unwavering love and patience still leave me in awe. And as for my next adventure? I’m thrilled to embark on it alongside my hubby. Let’s see where this new chapter takes us!

What is Bao & Bae?

The Mandarin Chinese term “Baobei” (寶貝) translates to “Treasure” or “Darling.” It is an affectionate expression commonly used to refer to someone you deeply care about—whether it’s a partner, child, or even a beloved pet. When someone calls you “Baobei,” consider it a sweet and endearing gesture!

Erica and Yancy decided to put a unique twist on this term. Instead of using the traditional “Baobei,” they coined their own version: “Baobae.” They found it more fun and creative. In their special language, Yancy is Erica’s Bao, and Erica is Yancy’s Bae.

Remember, language is a fascinating way to express emotions and connections, and terms like “baobei” carry cultural significance and warmth.
